William Steer

William was born on July 29th, 1810 in Petworth, Sussex and his baptism took place on October 14th, 1810.¹

William's father was William Steer and his mother was Anne Merriott.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Steer and Jane Osborn. He had three brothers and a sister, named George, Thomas, James and Jane.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 27 in 1837.  He was buried on October 5th, 1837 in Petworth, Sussex.²
