Alfred Steer

Alfred was born in 1838 and his baptism took place on July 8th, 1838 in Petworth, Sussex.¹   Alfred's father was <Unknown> and his mother was Jane Steer.  His maternal grandparents were William Steer and Anne Merriott. He had a brother named William.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Henry and Jane.
