John was born in 1756 in Halton Yorkshire and his baptism took place on May 22nd, 1756 in Whitkirk, Yorkshire. John's father was Thomas Rollisson and his mother was Mary Rellizendale Ustler.  His paternal grandparents were John Rolison and Rachill Halliday; his maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Robert.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1822.  He was buried on February 1st, 1822 in St Mary, Whitkirk, Yorkshire West Riding, England.1
