Elizabeth's father was John Rollison and her mother was Ann Milner.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Rollisson and Mary Ustler; her maternal grandparents were John Milner and Elizabeth Standerell. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, William, Sarah, Ann, Rachel, Mary and Grace.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
