Winifred was born on October 6th, 1889 in Watsonville, Queensland. Winifred's father was Alfred MORRIS and her mother was Cathleen HODGKINS.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas MORRIS and Elizabeth WAY; her maternal grandparents were George HODGKINS and Mary Ann WHITE. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Sidney Alfred, Alfred, Edward Victor, Arthur Llewellyn, Charles Roy, William Douglas, Stanley Caradoc, Isabel, Rosie, Louise Blanche, Alice Grace, Kathleen Rhoda and Constance Stella.  She was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 83 on May 30th, 1973 in Herberton.
