Sidney Alfred was born in 1883 in Watsonville. Sidney Alfred's father was Alfred MORRIS and his mother was Cathleen HODGKINS.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas MORRIS and Elizabeth WAY; his maternal grandparents were George HODGKINS and Mary Ann WHITE. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Alfred, Edward Victor, Arthur Llewellyn, Charles Roy, William Douglas, Stanley Caradoc, Isabel, Rosie, Louise Blanche, Winifred, Alice Grace, Kathleen Rhoda and Constance Stella.  He was the oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 44 on October 4th, 1927.
