William Douglas was born on October 3rd, 1903. William Douglas' father was Alfred MORRIS and his mother was Cathleen HODGKINS.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas MORRIS and Elizabeth WAY; his maternal grandparents were George HODGKINS and Mary Ann WHITE. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Sidney Alfred, Alfred, Edward Victor, Arthur Llewellyn, Charles Roy, Stanley Caradoc, Isabel, Rosie, Louise Blanche, Winifred, Alice Grace, Kathleen Rhoda and Constance Stella.  He was the third youngest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 85 on April 24th, 1989 in Herberton.
