Thomas was born in May 1889. Thomas' father was William McAllister and his mother was Isabella Cairns Bell. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Janet, Isabella, Ellen and Jessie.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at 2 months old on July 16th, 1889 in Charters Towers, Qld.  He was buried on January 17th, 1889 in Charters Towers Cemetery, Qld.1 1
