"Mrs G. Hempenstall Dies Suddenly.
Widespread regret was expressed in Mt Morgan yesterday at the sudden death of Mrs Margaret Hempenstall wife of Mr G. W. Hempenstall, well-known resident and businessman of the town. She was held in high esteem by the community.
Mr and Mrs Hempenstall were driving in their car to lunch when she complained of being ill. He stopped the car and was taking his wife into his office when she collapsed in his arms and died. She had not been in good health for some time.
Mrs Hempenstall is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter. Another son died while serving with the RAAF. "
