Nancy (Nanny) Wood

Nancy, known as Nanny, was born on October 5th, 1822 in Quarmby Cum Lindley and her baptism took place on October 5th, 1822 in Salendine Nook Meeting House (Baptist).^1 2

Nanny's father was James Wood and her mother was Martha Iredale.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Wood and Rebeccah Sykes. She had two brothers and a sister, named George, Humphrey and Ellen.  She was the oldest of the four children.

‌Nanny and James were married in a religious ceremony in September 1846 in Huddersfield.³
