Edward Withnell 
Edward was born in 1858 in Sharples.1 Edward's father was Thomas Withnell and his mother was Eliza Nightingale. His maternal grandparents were William Nightingale and Peggy (Margaret) Riding. He had three brothers named James, John and William. He was the second oldest of the four children.-
