Sarah was born in November 1767 in Shotton and her baptism took place on November 13th, 1767 in Hawarden.1  Sarah's father was John Williams and her mother was Elizabeth Evans. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, Edward, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, John and Margaret.  She was the sixth oldest of the nine known children.
