George Tomlinson

George was born in 1836 in Warrington.¹ George's father was James Tomlinson and his mother was Mary Goller (or Geller). His paternal grandparents were Richard Tomlinson and Alice Glover. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Francis, Albert, Peter, Mary? and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the seven children.

  Married in 1855, a Tailor of Great Bolton, son of James, also a Tailor.

- From 1855 George's occupation was Tailor in Bolton.
  - Occupation Notes
    - George's marriage records him as a Joiner, but there is a footnote correction recording this a mistake in the license as he was a Tailor.
