(Ann)'s father was John Ambrose Thomas and her mother was Margaret Eleanor Jones. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Leslie, William and Ellen.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Albert and Lillian.  She died at the age of 55 in December 1950 in Birkenhead.²
