Luke Stocks

Luke was born in 1787 in Almondbury and his christening took place there on February 4th, 1788.¹

Luke's father was David Stocks and his mother was Isabel Lodge. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Sara Wilkinson; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Lodge and Isabel Morehouse. He had two brothers and a sister, named Frank, David and Hannah. He had a half-brother named John. He died at the age of 48 in March 1835 in Manchester. His burial was on March 22nd, 1835 in Manchester.²²

- Luke travelled to Liverpool, working as a stone mason in the family business. He married Rebecca Moss on 4 April 1809 at Liverpool St. Peter and had two children named after his parents, David (21 Jan 1810) and Isabella (17 Nov 1811). They also had George, infant death (1814-1815)
