  • Enlisted in the Canada, British Regimental (84th Foot Soldiers, 1st Battalion) and died or was killed in 1802.  The 84th (York and Lancaster) Regiment of Foot was a regiment in the British Army. The regiment was raised in Yorkshire in 1794 and sent to Ireland and Holand.  It was sent to South Africa in 1795, and from there to Madras (1798), then Goa (1799), and Bombay, India (1800). John therefor may have died in India.
