Abraham was born in August 1814 in Stapeley and his baptism took place on August 22nd, 1814 in Wybunbury.1  Abraham's father was Abraham Steele and his mother was Maria (Mary) Brereton. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, James and Ann.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 37 in 1851.
