The Will with Codicil of Richard Richards
late of Hampton in the county of Chester Yeoman deceased who died 22 October 1858 at Hampton aforesaid was proved at Chester by the oaths of Richard Battarbee of Malpas in the said county wine merchant the nephew and Henry Crane of Wood Cottage near Wrexham in the county of Flint land agent the executors.
General Notes
Richard Richards was the sole executor of his father's Will, which passed probate 8 May 1823.
Richard continued to live at his father's pub, at the Fish Inn, Shocklach, and was recorded there in 1851. Inn Keeper and farmer of 50 acres. He retired and moved to Hampton, Malpas. Later, Henry Rogers was at the Fish Inn until he deid 1863.
He left his farm and lands to Jane Brereton (nee Hopley)..
