James Ramsbottom

James was born in 1806 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on February 16th, 1806 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

James' father was Thomas Ramsbottom and his mother was Margaret Mather. His maternal grandparents were William Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Robert, Thomas, Richard, Mary, Jane, Betty and Ann.
