Nanny was born in August 1820 in Belmont and her baptism took place on October 1st, 1820 in Great Harwood.1  Nanny's father was John Oliverson and her mother was Esther Baron. She had five brothers and a sister, named Christopher, Barry, James, Robert, John and Isabella.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
