John Monks

John's father was Nathan Monks and his mother was Jane Mather.  His maternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Green. He had two brothers and a sister, named Edward, James and Mary.  He was the youngest of the four known children.  He died at the age of 10 in August 1844 in Little Bolton.  He was buried on August 24th, 1844 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
