William Booth Mather

William was born in June 1853 in Walmersley and his baptism took place on June 5th, 1859 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹²

William's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Ellen Horsefield. His paternal grandparents were Robert Mather and Margaret Robinson; his maternal grandparents were John Horsefield and Betty Booth. He had two brothers named Robert and John. He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Esther.

‌William and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony in January 1879 in Blackburn.³ They had two sons named Frederick and Walter.
