William Mather

William was born in September 1840 in Edensor.¹

William's father was George Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Taylor. His paternal grandparents were William Mather and Mary Daffin. He had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Alice and Mary. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 71 in March 1912 in Sheffield.²

  In 1881, William and Margaret (40 & 42) were back at Great Longstone with their three children.
