William Mather

William was born on May 14th, 1828 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on May 25th, 1828 at St. Mary (Radcliffe) conducted by Curate Samuel Johnson MA.¹²

William's father was James Mather and his mother was Ellen Bolton. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Alice Mather. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Betsy. He was the second oldest of the three known children. He died at the age of 50 in March 1879 in Radcliffe. His burial was on March 2nd, 1879 at St. Thomas (Radcliffe).³
