Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in 1783 in Withnell and his baptism took place on June 21st, 1783 at Over Darwen Lower Chapel conducted by Reverend Robert Smalley.¹

Thomas' father was James Mather and his mother was Esther Mason. He had four brothers named George, Edmund, Robert and John. He was the second oldest of the five children.
