Edmund may have married Betty Wilkinson in 1806, and later, in 1822, an EDWARD Mather married Jane Marsden in Leyland.
Children from the second marriage lived in the tiny village of Withnell, so it is possible there are two families here!
Edmund and Betty were married in a religious ceremony on May 7th, 1806 in Bolton.2
