Thomas Mather

Thomas was born in 1796 in Clifton and his baptism took place on November 13th, 1796 in Prestwich.¹

Thomas' father was James Mather and his mother was Sally Smethurst. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Sarah Watson. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Mary, Catherine and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 61 in December 1857 in Little Bolton.²
