Sarah was born in June 1858 in Mold.1  Sarah's father was George Mather and her mother was Sarah Aston. She had four brothers and a sister, named Margaret, Thomas, George, James and Sarah. She had an adopted brother and two adopted sisters, named Alfred, Mary and Agnes.  She died at the age of 5 in May 1864 in Bolton.1
