- 8 June 1892,Alfred Mather (24) of 4 Villiers Street, Little Bolton, son of George Mather an Engineer married Mary Ellen Wood at Bradshawgate Wesleyan Church, Bolton. Agnes Mather (his sister) was a witness.
  
  In 1901, Sarah (36) and Alfred Mather (32) were with their mother Sarah (63), living in Bolton. Elena Mather (7) (Alfred's daughter) was with them.
