Robert Mather

Robert was born in 1827 in Pilkington.¹

Robert's father was John Mather and his mother was Mary Allen. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, John, Ann, Rachel, Mary, Fanny and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.

General Notes
- 3 Jan 1854, Robert Mather, weaver of Whitefield, son of John Mather, a warper married Ellen Greenhalgh, weaver of Whitefield, daughter of William Grfeenhalgh. Both of full age.
  
  In 1861, Robert and Ellen (34 & 29) were in Pilkington with William (6), Mary Ann (4) and "Thomas" (2). Note Thomas should be James.
  
  In 1871, Robert and Ellen (45 & 39) were in Whitefield with William (16), Mary Ann (14) and James (12), John (9), Mark (6) and Robert (1).
