Richard Mather

Richard was born in 1822 in Middleton and his baptism took place on January 6th, 1822 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹²

Richard's father was Richard Mather and his mother was Sarah (Sally) Stewart. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Alice Collinge. He had five brothers and a sister, named James, John, William, Luke, Moses and Ann. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 56 in March 1878 in Salford.³
