Peter was born in 1820 in Warrington and his baptism took place on May 6th, 1821 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Peter's father was Peter Mather and his mother was Margaret Moors. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Samuel, James and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 27 in September 1847 in Warrington.  He was buried on September 24th, 1847 at St. Elphin (Warrington).2 3

‌Peter and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on September 2nd, 1840 in Warrington.2  They had two daughters named Margaret and Ellen.  There are no more children.
