(Although indexed as 1627, the tops of the pages are torne or missing. However, the next page starts with April 1630, so I believe this should be 1629, not 1627).

Nicholas of Turton left a Will (1630), total value £27 1s 6d. No beneficiaries are named. There is another Nicholas Mather Will of 1614, an uncle perhaps!

Nicholas and Susannah were married in a religious ceremony on June 19th, 1609 at St. Peter's (Bolton).3 They had four sons and two daughters, named William, James, William, Thomas, Margaret and Elizabeth.
