In 1851, Mary Ann (21) was living with her unmareried sister Ellen (33) and her 3 children in Hindley near Wigan.
In 1852, Mary Ann Mather was 21 and living in Halliwell when she married Robert Knowles at Deane. Her father was John Mather, a Weaver.
In 1861 and 1871, Mary A was in Little Bolton with Robert and family (so not the Mary with brother John in 1871 at Hindley so may also not be the Mary with sister Ellen in 1851).
