Mary's father was Roland Mather and her mother was Ann Allison.  Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Ann Booth. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Eliza and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 2 in November 1770 in Edensor.  She was buried on November 15th, 1770 in Edensor.²
