Mary was born in 1839 in Bury.¹

  There is no Birth registration for Mary Mather. Maybe she is Mary Butterworth (MMN = CRABRETT), adopted into this family.

She had six brothers and a sister, named Robert, James, Richard, Edwin, David, Samuel and Betty. She was adopted by James Mather & Sarah Butterworth. Mary is no longer alive.
