Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in December 1731 in Billinge and her baptism took place on December 28th, 1731 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Margaret's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Hannah Rawlinson. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and <unknown>. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth and Alice. Margaret and John were twins.
