Margaret was born in December 1731 in Billinge and her baptism took place on December 28th, 1731 at St. Aidan (Billinge).1  Margaret's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Hannah Rawlinson.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and <unknown>. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth and Alice.  Margaret and John were twins.



Margaret's family with Laurance Pinington

‌Margaret and Laurance were married in a religious ceremony on December 2nd, 1750 at All Saints (Wigan).2  The family line is yet to be completed.
