Joseph Mather

Joseph was born on June 25th, 1911 in Little Bolton and his baptism took place on August 2nd, 1911 at St. Matthew (Halliwell).¹²

Joseph's father was Joseph Mather and his mother was Jane Davies. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Maria Hulme. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Stanley, Robert, William, Nell, Maria and Janie. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 85 in December 1996 in Bolton.³
