John Mather

John was born in 1894 in Atherton.¹

John's father was William Mather and his mother was Ann Caldwell. His paternal grandparents were Edward Mather and Betsy Morris. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Charles, William, Thomas, Frederick, Alice and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
