Isabella's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Mary Mather. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Thomas, John, Batrix, Magdalen, Ann and Jane. She was the youngest of the eight children.

General Notes
- The Bolton marriage appears to fit to this Isabella. Then there are baptism records for children of John and Isabelle Robinson from 1802 at Colne, Lancashire.
  
  In 1841, John and Isabella (both 60) were at Bretherton, Croston, Leyland. This is probably not John and Isabella Robinson.
