Henry Mather

Henry was born in 1764 in Westhoughton and his baptism took place on August 5th, 1764 in Chowbent.¹

Henry's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Mary Mather. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Batrix, Magdalen, Ann, Jane and Isabella. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 68 in December 1832 in Atherton. His burial was on December 11th, 1832 in Chowbent.¹
