Isabella was born in May 1700 in Middle Hulton and her baptism took place on May 26th, 1700 at St. Mary (Deane). Isabella's father was Johannis (John) Mather and her mother was <unknown>.  Her paternal grandparents were Johannis (John) Mather and Elizabeth Mather. She had a brother and five sisters, named John, Esther, Elizabetha, Anna, Margaretha and Maria.
