Ellen Mather

Ellen was born in 1871 in Bolton.¹ Ellen's father was Joseph Mather and her mother was Ellen Pilling. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Margaret Stockton (Slater). She had a brother and a sister, named Joseph and Margaret. She was the second oldest of the three children.
