Betty (Kitty) Mather

Betty, known as Kitty, was born in December 1844 in Whitefield.¹

Kitty's father was Joseph Mather and her mother was Nancy Redford. Her paternal grandparents were Jesse Mather and Hannah Emmerson. She had two brothers named Joseph and Francis. She was the oldest of the three children.

- In 1861 "Kitty" was wikth her mother and two brothers at Half Acre
  
  23 Apr 1866, Thomas Crook (21), Millwright of Prestwich married Betty Mather (21) of Half Acre, daughter of Joseph Mather a weaver at St Mary Prestwich.
