Ann was born in June 1842 in Warrington and her baptism took place on June 19th, 1842.1  Ann's father was John Mather and her mother was Martha Antwist. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, William, Margaret, Elizabeth and Emma.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
