Ann was born in February 1803 in Darcy Lever and her baptism took place on February 28th, 1803 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Ann's father was Thomas Mather and her mother was Sarah Davenport.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Thornley. She had three sisters named Mary, Ann and Nancy.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at 1 months old in March 1803 in Darcy Lever.  She was buried on March 16th, 1803 at St. Peter's (Bolton).2
