Alice was born on August 10th, 1707 in Winwick and her baptism took place there on August 17th, 1707.1 2  Alice's father was Henry Mather and her mother was Margret Pimley.  Her paternal grandparents were Adam Mather and Alice Mather. She had a brother and a sister, named Ralph and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers named Henry and Thomas.
