Albert was born in 1885 in Farnworth.¹

Birth Notes

Albert's father was James Howcroft and his mother was Hannah Mather. His maternal grandparents were William Mather and Margaret Gerrard. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Herbert, Wilfred, Fred, Frank, Elizabeth and Clara. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died in 1885 in Farnworth.¹
