Thomas was born in 1852 in Aldford and his baptism took place there on January 4th, 1852.¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was Charles Manning and his mother was Emma Edge. His paternal grandparents were John Manning and Betty (Elizabeth) Edwards. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Charles, William, Elizabeth, Mary and Martha. He was the third oldest of the seven known children.
