Elizabeth was born in 1847 in Aldford and her baptism took place on August 29th, 1847 at St. Chad (Farndon).¹

Birth Notes

Elizabeth's father was Charles Manning and her mother was Emma Edge. Her paternal grandparents were John Manning and Betty (Elizabeth) Edwards. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, John, Charles, William, Mary and Martha. She was the oldest of the seven known children.
